During Summer and Fall, I've found that the most productive areas on Lake Marburg in areas with grass. My best areas are those in the main lake area. Other areas that can be productive are the areas below the 2nd and third bridges.
Best baits:
Spinnerbait:
3/8 oz or 1/4 oz
Chartruse, white or combo of both with large gold willow blade & silver
colorado.
3/8 oz or 1/4 oz Blue and white with large silver willow blade & silver
colorado.
3/8 oz or 1/4 oz Blue and white with large blue/white/silver painted willow
and colorado blades. (my favorite)
Soft plastics:
6" #214 Gary Yamamoto Senko. The #214 is Smoke with large black, blue and
small chartruse flakes.
4" # 157 Gary Yamamoto Senko. The #214 is Blue/Black with purple flakes.
I use this one on a Carolina Rig.
6" Berkley Flip'ntail Power Worm in Camo or Blue Fleck.
Tubes in red, brown, purple. My favorite tubes are Berkleys Blue Fleck, Camo,
Red Shad. I also like Cabin Creek tubes in color Christmas Cider, Smoke w/purple
flakes, and green with red flakes.
Crankbaits:
White, White & Blue, White & Chartruse, Chrome or Blue & Chrome
crankbaits.
Sometimes a crawfish color crankbait is productive.
I like to use Storm's Lightnin' Shads in perl & blue and Firestorm perch.
Topwater:
Storm Chug Bugs in chrome/black or chrome/Blue.
Pop'Rs in white or bone.
Good luck!
