X POINT

According to lab results, X POINT fish hooks are SEVEN TIMES sharper than the next best! That's right, the next best hook took 350 grams of pressure to penetrate what the X POINT did at 50 grams!

X POINT hooks have become the hooks of choice of leading Captains, fishing the Flats with Twitch-baits. (Example Shown below).

HitchHiker

The #43 is a new size of the HitchHiker coil device. The popularity of the original size (#44) being used in Banjo® style rigs, has driven us to make a larger size. As with the original, the HitchHiker can be used for attaching trailers to Jigs and Spoons. HitchHikers are packed 6 per bag and retail for less than $2.00.

Banjo® is a registered trademark of TriStar Products.

Rigging Tips

Sometimes you want to add a little noise to a twitch-bait, but how? Here is a simple trick. Run your line through a Carolina® Floater, with the Concave end pointing toward the reel. Then tie on a light wire hook like the Xpoint #X15 to make the rig float better. The cup shaped end of the floater will make a popping sound when twitched! You'll note on the illustration, the bait rests like it is eating mosquito larvae.

Fishing Tips

Many times when fishing live bait, the Shiner, Pinfish, etc will slide up the hook past the eye up the line. Here's a trick that adds color and prevents this dilemma. Simply slide a small (1/4") piece of soft plastic grub through the hook point and up the shank. This will prevent the bait from sliding up the eye of the hook and add color to the biat. (I prefer dark red to make the bait appear to be injured.) The buoyant plastic adds action and lifts the bait off the bottom. See illustration below. Always use a quality hook like a Daiichi. High carbon hooks allow you to use a finer wire which penetrates faster and is easier for live bait to swim with.

Make your jig weedless!

Here is a handy rigging tip. On a regular Jighead that you may, say cast for Trout simply add a HITCHHIKER to the eye on your jighead. Then "screw" your favorite plastic grub onto the coil and bury the hook into the grub. Now your jig is weedless.
